I'm an author, journalist, broadcaster and podcaster.

Over the last twenty-five years I've worked across newspapers, magazines, books, television, radio and digital media.

I've written five books, edited one of Britain's biggest magazines, made documentaries for the BBC and Channel 4, presented national radio shows and built independent podcast and newsletter audiences numbering in the millions.

I write about class, family, politics, masculinity, addiction, mental health and modern British life.

I’ve written five non-fiction books, including two recent mental health bestsellers, as well as long-form journalism and broadcast work exploring similar themes.

Books

My first book, Get Smashed, was published in 2007. It was later adapted by Ridley Scott Associates for Sky Atlantic.

My 2015 book about political campaigns, Mad Men and Bad Men, was published by Faber and the TV rights were optioned by Blackhill Pictures

My 2023 book, Sort Your Head Out, was an Amazon bestseller.
